NARS Eyeliner Stylo Black (Nuits Blanches)

A new Eyeliner by NARS, and I just love it.

This is a felt tip eyeliner, like the one from L'Oreal, for exaple. The difference is, that the NARS stylo gets pointed through the tip, unlike the L'Oreal liner.

I liked the packaging. I like it when the product comes from an inner color-patron, and I also like the clean, black design. 

I had no problems getting a nice flow of product, and it comes out very very black. It is not a glossy black, but a very flattering natural black. I find it very easy to create either thin or thick line, both were no problem.

The line is very precise so it doesn't make the eyelid dirty. It dries out quickly. On my lids it lasted all day long in a perfect condition. It was very easy to take off.

I never liked felt-tip liners (the YSL easy liner is my favorite, and it has a brush tip), so I was really surprised by this one. I recommend.

זו פלטת העיניים השניה שרכשתי מקולקציות החגים, וגם האחרונה.

למרות שמה של הפלטה, אני לא מוצאת שזו פלטה אידיאלית למראה מעושן. אפשר ליצור איתה מראה מעושן (הרי עישון זו טכניקה, לא בדיוק גוון), אבל היו בעבר פלטות טובות ממנה למטרה הזו.

למרות זאת, פלטה מוצלחת.

הצללית העליונה משמאל היא צללית בגוון בז' נייטראלי, קרוב לגוון העור שלי. הצללית במרקם פרוסט, אבל היא יותר דומה במרקם שלה לצלליות במרקם סאטן.

הצללית הבאה היא צללית אפורה-בינונית, שוב במרקם פרוסט. היא אכן מבריקה, מה שהופך אותה לעוד יותר בהירה. צללית נוחה מאוד לעבודה.

הימנית ביותר בשורה הראשונה היא צללית כמעט שחורה, עם נצנצים זהובים. המרקם הוא מרקם וולווט, שאני אישית לא מאוד אוהבת. קצת פחות מדי פיגמנט וקצת יותר מדי נצנצים.

השורה התחתונה מוצלחת מאוד - היא מתחילה בצד שמאל עם צללית בגוון פודרה כהה, במרקם סאטין. אני מאוד אוהבת את המרקם.. הצללית נוחה לעבודה והיא יוצאת די טבעית על העפעף, אם כי מורגשת.

הצללית האמצעית היא צללית בגוון חום בינוני, אם תת-גוון אדמדם. המרקם הוא פרוסט, אם כי בניגוד לצלליות אחרות במרקם הזה, הצללית הזו קצת גירית ומשירה חומר. הגוון דומה לצללית mulch מהקולקציה הקבועה. למרות החסרון שלה, אני מאוד אוהבת את הצללית הזו.

הצללית האחרונה היא צללית חומה כהה, בעלת תת-גוון אפור. המרקם הוא סאטן.

בסך הכל פלטה נחמדה ושימושית, אם כי לא היסטרית.

אני מצרפת סווצ'ים, כאשר נא לא להיבהל מהפס המאוזן בסווץ' הראשון - אלו הורידים שלי..

MAC Holiday Collections - 6 Sorceress eye shadows palette

זו הפלטה המוצלחת ביותר מכל הפלטות בקולקציות החגים, אם כי קשה לי לומר עליה שהיא מושלמת. חלק מהגוונים אהבתי מאוד, על חלקם האחר הייתי מוותרת.

אני מצטערת מראש על איכות התמונות, אבל המצלמה הטובה שלי עדיין מסתובבת לה ומחפשת אותי. כשהיא תגיע לידיי - אצלם תמונות חדשות ואעלה אותן.

כמו שכתבתי בסקירה הכללית של הקולקציות, האריזות השנה השתפרו. האריזה יותר מרובעת מאשר בשנים קודמות ותופסת פחות מקום. יש גם מברשת 213 מוקטנת מאוד, שאפשר לזרוק לפח. 

הצללית העליונה משמאל זו צללית מבריקה בגוון אופווייט. מרקם פרוסט נוח לעבודה, אם כי מבריק מדי עבור גוון בהיר שכזה.

הלאה בשורה נמצאת הצללית, שמצדיקה את קניית הפלטה. זו צללית נדירה בגוון אפור-ירקרק, בעלת ברק מוזהב. אני אישית מאוד אוהבת את מרקם הסאטן. הצללית אינה מאט לגמרי, אבל גם אינה מבריקה. בהחלט צללית בעלת נוכחות, עם הרבה פיגמנטץ

אחריה נמצאת צללית שחורה עם נצנצים כסופים, במרקם לאסטר הלא נוח לעבודה. זו הצללית שאני אישית הכי פחות אהבתי בפלטה. מרקם לאסטר דורש עבודה בטפיחות, וגם אז לא יוצא ממנו מי יודע מה הרבה פיגמנט.

נעבור לשורה השניה - הצללית השמאלית היא צללית סגולה בהירה במרקם וולוקס פרל המדהים. מרקם משיי ונוח לעבודה. הגוון די בהיר.

האמצעית היא עוד צללית מדהימה - סגולה מעושנת בגוון פרוסט. היא מאוד דומה לצללית shale של מאק, אם כי יותר מבריקה ממנה. ממש כייפית לעבודה.

הצללית הימנית התחתונה הינה בגוון סגול-שזיף, שוב במרקם וולוקס פרל. מרקם מעולה, אם כי היא פחות קרמית ונעימה מצלליות אחרות במרקם הזה. על העין קשה להשיג את הגוון הסגול הזה, והוא לרוב ייבלע בצלליות האחרות הוא בטשטוש. בנוסף, הייתי צריכה לטבול את המברשת מספר פעמים בצללית כדי לקבל פיגמנט הגון.

בסך הכל פלטה מומלצת לדעתי, בעיקר למי שמחפשת פלטה סגולה-שחורה. לא משהו היסטרי שטרם נראה - אבל היא המוצלחת ביותר מכל הפלטות השנה, לפחות בעיניי.

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation

There are many good foundations coming out lately. I think it started with the new Armani foundation (the one with the impossible name) , and then I fell in love with the YSL Teint Resist. Now there is a new star in my foundation-sky.
I was never a big fan of the NARS foundations. They were too flakey on me and I never found the right shade. That is why I was happy to hear that they came out with 2 new foundations - Sheer Matte and Sheer Glow. I read better reviews about the Sheer glow, and bought it. I ordered it online, so I didn't get to see all the range.


I have a combo skin, but matte foundations usually look dull on me. Even though this foundation is for normal to dry skin, I think it could be good also for combination skin, especially in winter.
I got the shade Deauville - light 4. According to the NARS homepage, this is a "light with neutral balance of pink and yellow undertones" shade. Well, I think that this shade is quite yellow. Not too yellow for me, but definitely not a "neutral balance". I am #4.5 in the new Armani, #2 sand in Bobbi Brown, #4 YSL Teint Resist, #1 EL Double wear light.  My skin tone is light, but not very light. The shade is perfect on me. It is lighter and more yellow than the #1 Double wear light. 


The package is disappointing. A glass bottle, without a pump. Yes, yes, NO PUMP. 30ml, 1 Fl. Oz. 42$.


I find the texture very nice and silky. When I applied it over my Shiseido pre makeup base the result wasn't nice - it was flaky, didn't last long, looked dull. BUT, over the Laura Mercier foundation primer - I got a perfect result: Very satiny, very flawless, melts into the skin. I don't think that this foundation is sheer. Using the MAC 187 brush I got a medium coverage, which was buildable. The finish was satin-matte, and not glowing at all. Not powdery-matte, but absolutely not glowy. I liked it. It felt comfortable on the skin all day long. 


Staying power - Yesterday it lasted for hours in a more or less perfect condition, no shining in the T-Zone. But last week, in warm Israel, I had the feeling it didn't last very long. After a couple of hours it started to disappear, especially from my nose and chin.


I like this foundation and would recommend it. You just have to prepare the skin properly, get the right shade and don't mind the package.

OPI AVOPLEX Cuticle oil to go

OK, you don't have to be a genius in order to understand what that is. A small tube with cuticle oil.
7.5 ml, 0.25 Fl. Oz. I don't know the price, because I bought it in a shop for professionals (and also because I never know prices, lets face it). In Israel I saw it in some manicure/pedicure salons.
Anyway, the big advantage of this tube is that you can really take it with you. It is small and handy. When you open the cap you get a small brush. A small press on the tube - and product is coming out. Nice and easy.
This stuff IS good. It really softens and nourishes the cuticle.The formula is quite reach, and that is why I usually use it just before going to sleep, not during the day. After applying the oil it is recommended to massage it into the skin. In order to maintain the results I had to apply it once a day.


But this is not a perfect product. The biggest problem I had with it was the dosing of the oil coming out of the tube. Even the lightest press on the tube brings out quite a lot of oil and I have the the feeling that too much product is being spent. Which brings me to the second disadvantage - because the formula is so reach and because so much of it is coming out, it takes very long until the oil absorbs. And it is oily.. 


All in all I like this stuff, because it does the job. BUT, in my bag, I will stick to my Alessandro cuticle nourishing pen, which also does a good job, but is less messy. 

ESSIE Nail Polish Angora Cardi

A very unusual color, from the latest ESSIE fall collection.


I LOVE the Essie nail polishes. I actually think this is my favorite brand. I love the creamy formula, the exact colors, the staying power. 
Angora Cardi is quite unusual. This is a smoky-purple tone, with a touch of red. I applied 2 coats over the Seche Clear base coat and used Seche Vite as a top coat/fast dryer. The creamy formula was very easy to use, no stripes, the brush takes just the right amount of polish.
I really like the way it looks, a perfect fall color, for those who had enough of gray-taupe tones.. 
I can not say how long this will last, but the ESSIE polishes usually last 6-7 days on my nails. 


By the way, the red color you see on the skin is some rest-overs from the Chanel nail polish I was wearing before.
