MAC Pro Longwear SPF 10 Foundation - Review

I never really fell in love with any MAC Fluid Foundation. The only one I really like is the Face & Body, especially because it has C and N Shades.

This new Foundation has a very good chance to become one of my favorite foundation, and I do have quite a few..

The Foundation is packed in a glass bottle with the usual comfortable MAC pump. 30 ml retails is Germany for 30€, in the states - 29,50$

The color range of this foundation contains the regular MAC NC and NW shades. No N or C shades. I never get a good color match at MAC, because I am a combination of NC15, NC20 and NW15. For more reference: EL DWL 1.0, GA Lasting Silk UV 4.5, GA LSF 4, MUFE HD 117, Sisley teint eclat 1, BB #2 sand. So I was very surprised to find a really really good match with NC20. The NW range of this foundation is very pink, and I had the feeling that the NC range has a bit of an orange tone into it. Somehow, they seem less yellow than usual. NC15 is very light, NC25 was much too dark. So I actually had no other choice but NC20. And it's PERFECT! Both me and the MA thought that the color range is not very good and I do think some light-toned skins will find it difficult to get a good match. But it's worth a try.. 

I prepared my skin with my La-Mer moisturize and Laura Mercier Primer. I have a combination skin, but on winter time it tends to dry out a little. I have a very sensitive skin, reddish, with some acne scars.The Pro Longwear foundation is for all skin types, but I think it would look the best on combination skin, like mine. The weather here is getting cold, so I couldn't really try it in hot and humid conditions. 

The consistency of this foundation is liquid, very similar to GA Lasting Silk. Actually, the new MAC foundation reminded me a lot of the GA one, and it's good, because I love it. Application was quick and perfect with both 190 and 187 brushes. It goes on very smooth and even, with no strikes or dry patches. I usually tend to have problems applying foundation on my nose, but here is just glided on. 

I got a medium coverage, with a silky looking finish. Very flawless, very dewy. The finish is not matte and the skin looks really good. It did cover imperfections, in a very fine and natural way. The skin looks natural, even, fresh. As MAC promises, it does feel lightweight. 

I powdered lightly with the MUFD HD Powder, mainly on the T-Zone. 

Staying Power - Well, don't expect it to stay perfect for 15 hours, especially not on the T-Zone. I was wearing it for 10 hours, and my nose did get shiny. BUT, the rest of the face looked fresh and flawless, as if I just applied foundation. I never got such a good result with any other MAC foundation - they usually start to flake on me after a couple of hours, but not this time. I had to double check in the mirror, because I was really surprised. I guess the lasting power might not be good enough if you have oily skin or in very hot/humid weather, but for me it was good enough.


This foundation didn't break me out, but I am pregnant, and nothing really breaks me out at the moment :)). It also didn't oxidize and the color stayed true throughout the day.

I think this is a very good foundation for a natural-dewy look with a medium coverage and a (more or less) long-lasting result. Even if the the MAC foundations disappointed you in the past - I warmly suggest to try this one (if you find a good shade match). You might be surprised. 

Bobbi Brown Natural Finish Long Lasting Foundation SPF15 - Review

A new Foundation by Bobbi Brown.

"Lightweight, oil-free foundation with all day wear. For Normal to Oily skin... natural, semi-matte finish... Stays fresh through heat and humidity... Absorbs excess oil to reduce shine... Helps reduce the appearance of pores".

This Foundation launched here in Germany on Saturday, and I got it in the shade sand 2. 

There are 20 available shades, and all look yellow-based (some look even a bit to yellowish). The only shade that didn't look yellow was cool beige (3.25). The range includes some very very light shades, so even women with very pale skin could get a good match. Since my perfect match with the "Skin Foundation SPF15" is sand, I thought the best thing would be to take the same shade. Well, I was wrong. The "Skin Foundation (SF)" sand in notably darker than the "Natural finish Foundation (NFF)" sand. So my first advise would be to get a new match. The NFF 'sand' is a bit too light on me. It is ok for now, but I will have to get a darker shade for summer. 

The Foundation is packed in a glass bottle with a comfortable pump. 30 ml cost is Germany 40€.

Application - Very easy to apply with my 187 brush. The only problem was, that it looked quite cakey and chalky on my nose, where my skin always seems to be dry. No matter what I did, it didn't look good on dry areas. I guess this foundation is probably not the perfect one for MY skin, but it might be perfect for oily skin or humid weather. I have combination skin with no visible dryness, but NFF looked very dry on my nose/chin.

This foundation is lightweight, very comfortable on the skin. 

Coverage - Sheer coverage. I tried to build a higher coverage, but it didn't really cover more. Maybe you can get a sheer-medium coverage, but not more than that. If you have a lot to conceal - this won't be good for you. It won't cover redness, for example.

Finish - As promised, semi-matte. It does look matte, but without any powdery finish. For me the finish is a bit flat and I miss the flawless-luminous finish I get with other foundations. BUT this is a personal preference.. If you like matte finish, you will like this foundation.

The complexion looks very natural (except for the dry patches) and it really looks as if you're not wearing anything.

Lasting Power - Very good. Stayed put for hours. The weather here is still cold, so I guess I will have to test it again when it gets warmer (if that ever happens..).

I think that the NFF is very very similar to the SF, and the only difference is the finish.. Personally, I prefer the flawless finish of the SF and I think it looks more natural on MY skin. 

If you have a normal-oily skin and if you are looking for a light makeup with matte finish - you might love the new Bobbi Brown Foundation.

Clarins Everlasting Foundation SPF15 - Review

In one sentence - Double Wear, but better.
In 2 sentences - The perfect high coverage long lasting foundation, for those of you who still want their skin to look natural. And if you find a good color match.


"Simply everlasting: 15 hours of impeccable coverage and total comfort thanks to a non-oily, melting, smoothing texture which evens tone and enhances the complexion. For a flawless complexion under any circumstances. Matte finish. Full coverage. All skin types."


I am not a big fan of full coverage foundation with a matte finish. They always tend to look mask-like and after a couple of hours they get muddy on the face. Another problem I had with them was, that the powdery finish looked very bad on my nose and chin.
All the latest new foundations are light and luminous, so this one is a surprise, because it is the opposite. But I love it! I have a sensitive combination skin, with dry and red areas. I got an excellent color match with 108 sand, which is a neutral light shade. The color range  is very good for light skin, but darker skin will have a problem finding a good match. On me - the color didn't change during the day.


The consistency is quite thick, but I had no problem applying it with the 187 brush. It melts into the skin in seconds. It comes in a quite heavy glass bottle, with a pump. There is a notable scent, which I like - very similar to the YSL scent. 


The finish of this foundation is matte, but not as matte as the DW or Colorstay. I mean, the skin does look natural and not powdery. The coverage is high, but I wouldn't say it is a full coverage. I wore it once with the MUFE HD powder and got a really matte finish, and once with the Armani loose powder, and then I got a more luminous result.
Staying power - amazing! It is winter now, but I was ironing for hours wearing this one, and it stayed put. I only wore it for 10 hours, so I can not say if it really stays put for 15 hours, but during the time I wore it there was no change - It didn't crack, didn't become messy, stayed very natural. It didn't dry up my skin and all day long it feels very comfortable. Surprisingly, it feels very satiny and sheer on the face, not at all like a full coverage foundation. It didn't break me out.


I am very happy with this one, for days when I want some coverage and lasting power. 
And just as important - This foundation is 25% cheaper than other high-end foundations. 

Yves Saint Lauren Teint Radiance Flawless Foundation SPF20 - Review and Pictures

A new Foundation by YSL. The full name is "Teint Radiance  - Radiance enhancing flawless Foundation SPF20". 

"This fluid foundation , with a fine and silky texture, acts in perfect harmony with the skin to diffuse a sublime, satiny radiance and offer the complexion ideal coverage and lasting coverage".

I couldn't agree more with this description! 

After "Teint Resist", this is the second new foundation by YSL. Teint Resist is a makeup for combination - oily skin, and I would say that the Teint Radiance is perfect for regular - dry skin types. But not only, because I think it could also suit women with combination skin, who have a problem with dry patches or by cold weather. 

My skin type is combination, but in winter it tends to have dry spots. I prefer the dewy look and not the matte one, but I don't want it to look shiny. Many radiance-enhacing foundations tend to make the skin look shiny in an unflattering way and pores can become more notable. And that is the big advantage of this foundation - It gives the skin a very dewy, flawless, healthy finish, without going over the top. 

I guess the color range will be the same like the Teint Resist, but because the finish and coverage are not the same - you should test is before buying. My perfect match in Teint Resist is a mix between 4 and 1 (both neutral). With the Teint Radiance I got a perfect match with shade number 4 - sable/sand. I tested both nu. 4 on my hand, and the teint radiance is a bit lighter than his big brother. Another difference you can see comparing the 2 of them - resist has a higher coverage and looks 'dryer' on the hand. The finish of the radiance is much more satiny and glowy. For reference: I am EL DWL 1, Armani Lasting silk SPF20 4.5, MAC NC15 mixed with NC20 mixed with NW15, NARS sheer glow light4 Deuville, MUFE HD 117. I have a light skin with neutral undertones, but I am not extremely light. 

Number 3 had pinky undertones, and I think that number 2 was yellow. 

This foundation comes in a very comfortable glass pump bottle. The consistency of this foundation is more on the thick side. I applied it with my MAC 187 brush and it went on like butter. Simply amazing! I got a perfect application in seconds. The coverage should be medium, but I think it's a bit less than medium. My skin looks very good at the moment (thanks to my la mer products), so the coverage is good enough for me. BUT, if you are looking for a good coverage, you won't like this foundation. It feels very comfortable on the skin, for hours. It didn't make my large pores notable than usual nor fine lines. 

As for the finish - It is dewy, it is radiant and luminous, it is very very natural. It looks like my skin, but better. It does diffuse with the skin. Now, this is all nice, but only if you like that kind finish and only is your skin is not on the shiny side. You could compare the finish with the Armani LSF, but I think that the YSL's finish is more subtle and fine, if you understand what I mean. I powdered lightly with the MUFE HD Powder, and the combination between these two gave me a perfect result. If you want to keep the original luminous glow you better skip this step or use a more radiant powder. 

If I compare this foundation to the NARS Sheer glow - The YSL has a more luminous finish and a bit lighter coverage. In comparison to MUFE HD - The YSL looks in my opinion much more natural on the skin and again - a bit lower coverage. 

Staying power - Well, on me it was long lasting, but I tried it under perfect conditions in the German winter. When I checked it after 6-7 hours, my T-Zone was still not shiny. Even at the end of the day it didn't turn caky of flakey. I don't really think it will be long lasting in hot climates or if you have oily skin.

42,50 Euro for 30 ml. A light fresh scent. 

An excellent foundation for those looking for a light-medium coverage and a very natural luminous-dewy finish.

Shiseido Sheer Matifying Compact Foundation - Review

אני לא יודעת אם המייקאפ-פודרה הזה של שיסיידו הינו חדש לגמרי או רק "מחודש", אבל הוא יצא אצלנו עכשיו כחלק מקולקציית האביב של החברה. איתו על הסטנד יצאו גם סמקים חדשים של שיסיידו במרקם סאטני הורס וכן שפתונים וגלוסים במרקמים חדשים. 

המייקאפ מוגדר כ-Long lasting, Oil-free Foundation ויש לו SPF10. רמת הכיסוי מוגדרת כבינונית והגימור מאט. המוצר מיועד לעור רגיל עד שמן.

אני לא חובבת גדולה של מוצרים בסגנון הזה, כי לרוב הם נראים מאוד קמחיים ולא טבעיים וגם סובלים מבעיית עמידות קשה. אבל אני יודעת שזה פתרון מצויין לממהרות או לאלו שאין להן סבלנות להנחה של מייקאפ נוזלי וגם לטאצ'אפים במהלך היום. עד היום, המוצר הכי טוב לדעתי בשוק המייקאפ-פודרה היה הפארורה של גרלן.

המוצר הזה של שיסיידו מכיל 9,8 גרם, שזה 0,8 גרם יותר מאשר המוצר המקביל של גרלן ו-5,2 פחות מהסטודיו פיקס של מאק. המחיר אצלנו 42 יורו, בערך כמו המוצר של גרלן. מה שכן, אני בטוחה ששיסיידו ייצאו עם גרסת מילוי, שתעלה הרבה פחות מהמוצר המלא. האריזה שחורה ואלגנטית ולמוצר מצורפת ספוגית. המכסה של המייקאפ כולל מראה, להקלה על הנחה של המייקאפ מחוץ לבית, למשל.

מבחר הגוונים די דל, וכלל אצלנו 6 גוונים. אני יודעת שבמדינות שונות ניתן למצוא גוונים שונים. הגוון היחיד שהתאים לי היה I00, שמוגדר כ-Very light Ivory.

ניסיתי את המייקאפ הזה בשתי צורות - בתור פודרה מעל למייקאפ החדש של מאק או בפני עצמו. בשני המקרים השתמשתי במברשות באפר ובספוגית המצורפת השתמשתי רק באיזור האף. בשני המקרים התקבלו מראות די דומים, כאשר בהנחה מעל למייקאפ אחר התקבל כיסוי יותר גבוה. הגימור של המייקאפ הינו מאט, אבל לא פודרתי אלא יותר לכיוון הטבעי. אולי בדקות הראשונות המראה כן מעט מסכתי, אבל זה עובר אחרי כ-10 דקות. ההרגשה על העור מאוד משיית ונעימה.

המראה של העור אחיד יותר, מבלי להדגיש אזורי יובש.

התוצאה והמראה דומים מאוד לאלו של הפארורה של גרלן. ההבדל היחיד מבחינתי הוא, שהגוון הבהיר ביותר של הפארורה כהה לי מדי ואילו הגוון של המייקאפ של שיסיידו יושב עליי בול.

עמידות - קשה לי לקבוע עד כמה המייקאפ הזה עמיד, כי לא בחנתי אותו בתנאי הישרדות. הוא בהחלט שרד יותר מהסטודיו פיקס של מאק, והוא לא התקלף או משהו בסגנון. העור נשאר מאט לכל אורך היום ולא שמתי לב להברקה חריגה באיזור ה-T. לקראת סוף היום הוא טיפה נעלם לו, אבל לא בצורה בולטת.

לסיכום - פתרון טוב ביותר לחובבות מייקאפ-פודרה, אם כי יקר. 

MAC Mineralize SPF15 Foundation - Review

I never ever thought I would say the next 3 words regarding a MAC Foundation, but "I LOVE IT". 

This cream-compact foundation was launched here in Germany on Saturday, together with the new 130 short duo fiber brush. This is what MAC says about this Foundation: "This uniquely textured foundation delivers ultimate hydration while revitalizing the look of dull and dry areas. Medium buildable, smooth even coverage and a feather-cloud comfortable silky feel with a natural finish."

It comes is a studio tech like container, with a sponge. Also here - you get 10 grams of product, which is really not much (and considering it costs 33€ in Germany!). It should fit all skin types, but especially normal-dry skin.I have a combination skin, but on winter time it tends to dry out a little. I have a very sensitive skin, reddish, with some acne scars.

The color range of this foundation contains the regular MAC NC and NW shades. No N or C shades. I never get a good color match at MAC, because I am a combination of NC15, NC20 and NW15. For more reference: EL DWL 1.0, GA Lasting Silk UV 4.5, GA LSF 4, MUFE HD 117, Sisley teint eclat 1. The MA at the store told me that this foundation tends to get darker on the skin after application, so decided to get the NC15. The NC range seams to be less yellow than the SFF NC range, so I thought I can get a good match with NC15. Also, the NC20 was noticeably darker. As I applied it, I thought it was too light, but after 15-20 minutes it did get darker and fitted me perfectly. I also rather buy a bit too light shade than a bit too dark, because it is very easy to make it darker with powder/bronzer, but the opposite is not that easy..

I prepared my skin using my La-Mer moisturizer and the Laura Mercier Primer. This foundation is very hydrating, but that is exactly why the skin has to be well prepared - if you don't do that, the skin will 'drink' the moisture in the foundation and it will look dull on you. I applied it once with the 130 brush and once with the 190 brush. Both ways gave a very good result, but I think that the 190 did a better job. Somehow, it went on more fluent. 

The consistency of this foundation is very thin. I would say it is gel based, because it feels a bit like the studio sculpt, just not as thick. It has a very subtle smell. I don't really believe that Mineralize products are better for my skin (and this one is anyways not 100% mineral), but it didn't break me out.

The coverage is light-medium. If you are looking for a good medium or high coverage - this is the wrong product for you. Still, I find the coverage amazing - it did cover my redness, it did cover my scars. Not fully, but they became less notable. As for the finish - It is amazingly satiny and soft. The skin looks very flawless. The foundation blends perfectly into the skin, almost as if you don't wear any make-up. Pores are less notable and the skin looks highlighted. You don't get a matte nor powdery finish, but it is also not as shiny as with the MAC Mineralize Satinfinish Foundation. I love this kind of finish, but if you prefer a very matte finish - you better stick to the SFF.

The best thing about this foundation was, that it didn't emphasize any dry areas. Most foundations look caky on my nose and chin, but I didn't have this problem with this new MAC foundation. 

After application, the skin feels a bit sticky. I powdered it a bit with my MUFE HD powder, and the sticky feeling went away. The foundation feels very comfortable, smoote and soft on the skin, all day long.

I can not really say much about the staying power. It is winter now and I didn't wear it to a party. It is not supposed to be long lasting, but it did last perfectly for about 8 hours. Just before taking it off I did notice that is started to disappear. It didn't become caky, flaky or something like that, it just started to fade away, so my redness became more obvious. My T-Zone didn't get shiny, but as I said already - it's winter. I guess it is not the perfect choice for warm climates or for the summer, but it is just a guess. I also think it really depends on your skin and the way you prepare it. 

I really really do love this foundation. If you are looking for a moderate coverage and a flawless, natural finish - Try it!

MAC - The Rest of my Haul - Mascara, Foundation, 130 Brush

נכון שאתן לא מופתעות לראות פה 2 מברשות זהות? ולא, לא קניתי אחת מתנה עבור מישהי אחרת.. אתחיל ואומר שבגלל המברשות האלו נאצלתי לחכות כמעט שעה בקופה. המחשב פשוט לא זיהה את הקוד. אמנם בסניפים אחרים לא היתה בעיה, אבל אצלנו זה פשוט לא הלך. רק כעבור שעה מנהלת החנות התייאשה והכניסה את המוצר הזה לחשבון בתור Dummy. ועוד בכלל לא דיברתי על זה שאי אפשר היה לשלם בכרטיס אשראי (קורה הרבה בסניף שלי, אני כבר רגילה..).

בתמונה אנחנו רואים את המייקאפ החדש של מאק, שיצא אצלנו היום בהשקה עולמית (עוד לפני ארה"ב). השם שלו הוא Mineralize SPF15, והוא אמור להיות שילוב בין הסטודיו טק למויסטרבלנד. הוא די יקר, והכמות היא 10 גרם. מנסיון עם הסטודיו טק, זו כמות שלא מספיקה ליותר מדי שימושים. המייקאפ מגיע עם ספוגית בתא התחתון. על פי המוכרות - במייקאפ הזה צריך לקחת גוון (או אפילו שניים) יותר בהיר מאשר בד"כ במאק, כי הוא מתכהה על הפנים. כלומר, אם אתן NC20, כדאי לקחת NC15. אני בד"כ שילוב בין NC15, NC20 ו-NW15, ולכן החלטתי לנסות את הגוון NC15, שאינו צהוב כמו הסטודיו פיקס פלואיד, למשל.

עד כה ניסיתי אותו על היד בלבד, והמרקם שלו מאוד משיי ועדין. רמת הכיסוי נראית קלה-בינונית, אבל צריך לנסות על העור. במבט ראשון הוא נראה לי בעל גימור טבעי-מואר, אבל לא מבריק. יהיה מעניין לנסות אותו מחר על הפנים ואז גם אכתוב ביקורת מסודרת.

בנוסף, מברשת חדשה!!! 130. לא ברור אם היא מוגבלת או לא, וכדי למנוע תקלות קניתי ישר שתיים. המחיר פה 42 יורו. הסיבים של המברשת דומים ל-187, 188, 131, אבל המבנה שלה שונה לגמרי. כמו שרואים בתמונה, הסיבים שלה יותר קצרים והמברשת יותר עגולה. מבחינת קוטר הייתי אומרת שהיא מעט יותר גדולה מה-188. בגלל שהסיבים יותר קצרים, אפשר להניח איתה מייקאפ בצורה יותר קומפקטית ובכך להשיג כיסוי יותר גבוה. נראה לי שהיא פשוט תחדיר את המייקאפ יותר טוב לעור. בנוסף, בגלל שהיא קטנה יחסית (אני ציפיתי למברשת הרבה יותר גדולה), אפשר להשתמש בה גם לסומק, הצללות, הארות. בואו נגיד, שעל כל מה שקניתי היום הייתי יכולה לוותר, אבל על המברשת הזו הייתי נלחמת בחירוף נפש. 

מה שעוד יצא אצלנו היום זו המסקרה Studio Fix Lash, שהיא חלק מקולקציית In the Studio. בקולקציה יש גם סטודיו פיקס מהקולקציה הקבועה. המסקרה מגיעה בשני גוונים - שחור וחום. זו המסקרה הראשונה של מאק בעלת סיבי סיליקון. רק עכשיו אני רואה שהתמונה די דפוקה ושלא ממש רואים את המברשת, כך שאני מבטיחה לצלם שוב בקרוב. אני לא ממש יודעת מה המסקרה הזו יודעת לעשות, אבל אני די אוהבת את המסקרות החדשות של מאק, כך שאשמח לנסות ולדווח. אני גם די אוהבת מברשות סיליקון. על העטיפה כתוב שהמברשת מאריכה ומדגישה. נחיה ונראה..

ולסיום - יצאו אצלנו 8 גוונים חדשים של צלליות, שמצטרפים לקולקציה הקבועה. הגוונים די בוהקים - ירוק, צהוב, כחול, ורוד, אדום. על פי טמפטליה, רק 2 גוונים חדשים לגמרי וכל השאר הם גווני PRO שירדו אל העם או גוונים שיצאו בעבר בקולקציות מוגבלות. אני זכרתי שהתכלת הוא גוון חדש לחלוטין, אבל לא זכרתי מה השני. בכל אופן, אהבתי את הצללית הורודה הזו ולכן קניתי אותה. שמה Free to be, והיות והיא חלק מהקולקציה הקבועה ניתן היה לרכוש אותה בפן. 

עד כאן להיום. למרות שזה נראה הרבה, זה לא. צריך לזכור שמדובר פה ב-5 השקות במקביל.. גם די השתדלתי להתאפק ולרכוש רק את המוצרים הבאמת מיוחדים כי אני יודעת מה אמור להגיע בחודש הבא.

La Mer - Foundation and Concealer

חברת לה-מר, הרולס רויס של מוצרי הטיפוח, נכנסה לאחרונה לשוק האיפור. את הספתח הם עשו עם 3 מוצרי בסיס - קונסילר, מייקאפ נוזלי, ומייקפ-פודרה. המוכרת בחנות הציעה לי להימנע מהמוצר השלישי (לטענתה הוא בולט מאוד על העור), כך שיצא שאת מיטב כספי השקעתי במייקאפ הנוזלי ובקונסילר.

חברת לה-מר מייצרת מוצרים טיפוליים, המבוססים על אחד הסודות השמורים ביותר בתעשייה וקשורים באצה מסתורית, הגורמת לחידוש העור. גם שני המוצרים שאסקור פה מתגאים בסגולות טיפוליות.

The treatment fluid foundation SPF15

המייקאפ של החברה. מכיל 30 מ"ל ועלה בערך 80$. המייקאפ מיועד בעקרון לכל סוגי העור, והוא מוגדר כמייקאפ קליל, הקולט את אנרגיית העור ומוחק אופטית פגמים בעור. העור אמור להיראות מתוח, בהיר ומחודש. הכיסוי מוגדר כשקוף עד בינוני.

עד לפני כחודש, הגוון הבהיר ביותר (1) היה כהה מדי עבורי. לשמחתי, החברה עדכנה את פלטת הגוונים, כך שגוון 14 (פורצלן) התאים לי בצורה מושלמת. הגוון הוא נייטראלי בהיר (אבל לא מאוד בהיר), עם נטייה לכיוון הורוד. המייקאפ מגיע באריזת זכוכית עם משאבה נוחה. צריך לשים לב לכך שכל לחיצה על המשאבה מוציאה המון חומר, כך שצריך להיזהר.

ההנחה של המייקאפ מאוד קלה ונוחה עם מברשת 187 שם מאק. המרקם של המייקאפ די דליל וקל מאוד לעבוד איתו. הגימור של המייקאפ היה מאוד חי עליי. מה זה חי? קצת מבריק. היות והעור שלי מעורב ופגום למדי, הגימור הקצת-מזיע הזה לא החמיא לו. זו בעיה קבועה שלי עם מייקאפים שאמורים לגרום לאפקט מתיחה.. הם כנראה מיועדים לעור יותר יבש משלי ועליי נראים קצת לא מחמיאים.

כמו שהחברה מציינת, רמת הכיסוי היא בערך בינונית. זו רמת הכיסוי שאני אוהבת ומעדיפה, אגב. 

קיבעתי את המייקאפ עם הפודרה השקופה HD של מייקאפ פור אבר, אבל עדיין היה לי נראה כאילו המייקאפ יותר מדי "חי" עליי. העמידות היתה טובה. להפתעתי, ככל שהשעות עברו, המייקאפ נראה על העור שלי יותר ויותר טוב. הוא לא נהיה שמנוני, אלא התמזג עם העור. 

קשה לי לחוות דעה על האפקט הטיפולי של המייקאפ, אבל אני בהחלט יכולה לציין שאחרי שהסרתי אותו העור הרגיש רך, נקי, בהיר ובאופן כללי קצת כמו חדש.

לסיכום - מייקאפ בעל פוטנציאל, אבל לא מחמיא במיוחד לסוג העור שלי.

The Radiant Concealer SPF25

3.5 גרם, שמגיעים באריזה נאה ביותר, עם מברשת מצויינת. זהו קונסילר קרמי מוצק, המגיעה ב-3 גוונים - לייט, מדיום ודארק. אני לקחתי את המדיום, כי המטרה שלי היתה להסתיר פגמים מתחת לעיניים והלייט היה בהיר מדי למטרה הזו. אם הייתי מייעדת את הקונסילר לפנים, הייתי בוחרת בגוון הבהיר מבין השלושה. אני מאוד מרוצה מבחירת הגוון, שכן הכתמתמות שבו טובה מאוד לצורך הסתרת כהויות. מחיר - 65$.

החברה מגדירה את הקונסילר הזה כקונסילר קרמי טיפולי, שמתקן אופטית כהויות באיזור העיניים ופגמי אקנה בעור ליצירת מראה טבעי.

למרות היותו קונסילר "מוצק", המרקם עדין מאוד ומאפשר מריחה מאוד מאוד דקה של המוצר הזה. אם אני משווה אותו לקונסילרים אחרים בסגנון ברשותי (הקורקטור של בובי בראון או הקונסילר של לאורה מרסייה) - אז המוצר הזה יותר דק משניהם. אני לא יודעת למה הם בחרו להכניס מקדם הגנה כזה גבוה במוצר המיועד לאיזור העיניים, אבל אני אישית לא סבלתי מתגובה אלרגית. 

ההנחה של הקונסילר מאוד נוחה, הן עם המברשת והן עם האצבעות. צריך כמות ממש ממש קטנה, כך שנראה לי שהוא יספיק להרבה זמן. הוא מכסה כהויות בצורה יפה מאוד, אבל צריך לזכור שהכהויות שלי לא כאלו מרשימות. הוא לא הדגיש קמטוטים והגימור היה מואר וחי. לא נרשם מראה יבשושי מתחת לעיניים. העמידות היתה טובה, אבל לא משהו מאוד יוצא דופן.

שוב, גם פה לא נבדקו סגולות הריפוי.

לסיכום - בהחלט קונסילר טוב ומבטיח. מצד שני, הוא לא עושה לי משהו שקונסילרים טובים אחרים לא עושים. מאוד התלהבתי מכושר הכיסוי למרות המרקם הדק, אבל אני לא חושבת שזה מצדיק את המחיר. 

Clinique Even Better Makeup SPF15

I am not a big fan of clinique foundations, mostly because I can never find a good color match.  According to Clinique, this foundation has a moderate coverage and a natural, luminous finish. This foundation is supposed to restore a brighter tone over time thanks to its minerals and vitamin C.

I got this foundation in NY, because in Germany (where I live) the color range is very poor. I took number 01, alabsster, which is the lightest shade and a neutral one (02 was very pinky). The packaging is wonderful - a squeezable bottle, which allows to control the amount of product coming out. 

The application was very easy with my MAC 187 brush and over the Laura Mercier primer. The coverage is medium and the look was flawless. It really really made my skin look naturally good. It didn't look as if I was wearing any foundation. Just as clinique promised - natural and luminous. The color match was perfect as well, at the beginning. This foundation has a natural-satin finish, and I don't think it will be good for oily skin. The first time I wore it, I powdered with the new clinique superbalanced powder, shade 01. The problem was, that after a couple of hours it became cakey and looked like a mask on my skin. In addition, it became darker, much darker. It also felt sticky..

I decided to try it again, with another powder, the MUFE HD Powder. And what a difference - Perfect look, for hours. It also got a bit darker through the end of the day, but much less then at the first time.

I can not say much about the skin-correcting qualities of this foundation, but the even better skin tone corrector didn't make any change for me. I have a combination skin and my no. 1 foundation at the moment is YSL teint resist (shade 02). 

A very good foundation for a natural, healthy look with a moderate-medium coverage and if you can find the right color match. If you have an oily skin - try before buying. 

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation

There are many good foundations coming out lately. I think it started with the new Armani foundation (the one with the impossible name) , and then I fell in love with the YSL Teint Resist. Now there is a new star in my foundation-sky.
I was never a big fan of the NARS foundations. They were too flakey on me and I never found the right shade. That is why I was happy to hear that they came out with 2 new foundations - Sheer Matte and Sheer Glow. I read better reviews about the Sheer glow, and bought it. I ordered it online, so I didn't get to see all the range.


I have a combo skin, but matte foundations usually look dull on me. Even though this foundation is for normal to dry skin, I think it could be good also for combination skin, especially in winter.
I got the shade Deauville - light 4. According to the NARS homepage, this is a "light with neutral balance of pink and yellow undertones" shade. Well, I think that this shade is quite yellow. Not too yellow for me, but definitely not a "neutral balance". I am #4.5 in the new Armani, #2 sand in Bobbi Brown, #4 YSL Teint Resist, #1 EL Double wear light.  My skin tone is light, but not very light. The shade is perfect on me. It is lighter and more yellow than the #1 Double wear light. 


The package is disappointing. A glass bottle, without a pump. Yes, yes, NO PUMP. 30ml, 1 Fl. Oz. 42$.


I find the texture very nice and silky. When I applied it over my Shiseido pre makeup base the result wasn't nice - it was flaky, didn't last long, looked dull. BUT, over the Laura Mercier foundation primer - I got a perfect result: Very satiny, very flawless, melts into the skin. I don't think that this foundation is sheer. Using the MAC 187 brush I got a medium coverage, which was buildable. The finish was satin-matte, and not glowing at all. Not powdery-matte, but absolutely not glowy. I liked it. It felt comfortable on the skin all day long. 


Staying power - Yesterday it lasted for hours in a more or less perfect condition, no shining in the T-Zone. But last week, in warm Israel, I had the feeling it didn't last very long. After a couple of hours it started to disappear, especially from my nose and chin.


I like this foundation and would recommend it. You just have to prepare the skin properly, get the right shade and don't mind the package.

Yves Saint Laurent TEINT RESIST Long wear transfer resistant foundation Oil-Free SPF10

This must be the best foundation I ever used.
2 months ago I got the Armani lasting silk UV foundation and I thought I would never find something to top that. Well, I did.
I have a combo skin with dry areas but a shiny T-zone. I have some acne scars and my skin is a bit reddish. I like a medium-full coverage, a flawless look and I want my foundation to last all day. The new YSL teint resist fulfill all that.
The packaging is good and comfortable - a glass pump bottle, 30 ml. I don't remember the price, but I think it was around 35 Euros.

I apply it over the Laura Marcier primer with the MAC 187 brush. Without powdering it gives the skin a semi-matte finish, that blends perfectly with the skin. It doesn't look as if I wear makeup. When powdering just a bit, it lasts all day. Amazing stuff.
I got the shade #4. In BB Foundations I usually wear #2 sand, in MAC something between NC15 and NW15 (I never found a perfect match), EL Double wear light #1, GA lasting silk 4.5. This shade seams a bit to dark when applying it, but after 5 minutes it looks just perfect.
I am in love with this foundation and would buy it over and over again.
